2026 Show Submissions

Submissions open now!

Do you have a show that you'd love to see on the Workshop stage?

Wollongong Workshop Theatre is calling for submissions from directors and production teams who are interested in producing a show for our 2026 season. We are seeking a mix of submissions from new and experienced directors, including:

  • Full length productions

  • One-act shows

  • New works

  • Old favourites

  • Works from Australian and Illawarra writers

  • Works from international playwrights

  • Any cast size and genre

To submit your show proposal, please complete the submission form below. Please include any relevant supporting documentation and don't skimp on the commentary - the more you can tell us about your show, the better.

WWT operates on a modest but supportive production budget for each production, so please ensure your submission includes your estimated show budget.

Completed submissions should be sent by email to us at wollongongworkshoptheatre@gmail.com. Submissions will close on Sunday 28 September.

After the closing date, the committee will assess all submissions and will be in contact with you regarding the outcome and any next steps. You may be asked to attend a committee meeting to discuss your submission.

Thank you for considering a submission for our 2026 season! We can't wait to hear what you have in mind. If you have any questions or need help with your submission, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Wollongong Workshop Theatre (WWT) is the longest running community theatre group in Wollongong. We produce several shows each year, all of which provide our local community with access to the world of theatre production on stage and behind the scenes.

WWT is located on Dharawal Country. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional owners of the lands on which we perform and throughout Australia, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
