FAQs

What time should I arrive at the theatre?

Doors open 30 minutes before the performance commences. We ask that audience members aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the show. If you are running late, you may be required to wait until a predetermined break in the performance before being allowed to enter the theatre and take your seat.

Can I take photos or videos of the show?

Photography and video recording of Workshop productions are not permitted. You may take pictures before and after the show (feel free to share them on social media and tag us!), but all phones and recording devices must be switched off for the duration of the performance. Light from phone screens and ringtones/alarms are very distracting to the actors and other audience members, and we want everyone to enjoy the show!

Will food and drink be available?

The refreshment bar in the foyer will be open before the show and during intermission for the purchase of snacks and beverages. Alcohol is not permitted in the theatre.

Who can purchase a concession ticket?

Concession tickets are available for seniors, full-time students and anyone who is on a pension of any sort.

Do you offer group discounts?

As a community theatre, we aim to make our ticket prices as affordable as possible while still covering our costs. As such, group discounts are not currently available.

Is there reserved seating?

All Workshop shows are general admission with no reserved seating. If you are part of a large group or wish to sit in a particular section of the theatre, please arrive as early as possible to secure your seats.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Workshop is a small theatre and our shows often sell out, so we encourage all patrons to purchase tickets in advance. However, tickets can be purchased at the door on a first-come, first-served basis if a show is not sold out.

I have purchased tickets but can no longer attend the performance. Can I exchange my tickets for a different show?

If you can no longer attend your scheduled performance, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss ticket exchange options.

Is the theatre wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Accessible seating is available and can be selected during the booking process. If you wish to discuss your accessibility needs, please contact us prior to the date of your performance and we would be happy to assist you.

Do you accept companion cards?

Yes, but this must be arranged in advance. Please contact us via email prior to the date of your chosen performance to arrange a complimentary companion ticket, and ensure that you present your card to our front of house volunteers when you attend the theatre.
